TPG Telecom has entered into a multi-million-dollar deal to buy fibre capacity on the Australia-US segment of the Hawaiki submarine cable system. Under the deal TPG will acquire fibre capacity from Sydney to the US that initially will provide up to 3 terabits per second capacity using the 100 gigabits per second wavelength technology, together with the ability to upgrade to 400Gbps and other future technologies.
