[Tianjin, China, April 27th, 2015]: Huawei Marine Networks Co.Ltd. (Huawei Marine), a global submarine cable networks provider, is presenting atthe International Cable Protection Committee (ICPC) 2015 Plenary, to be held at the Le Meridian Cyberport Hotel and Conference Centre, Telegraph Bay, Hong Kong, from the 28th to the 30th April, 2015.
Founded in 1958, ICPC is the world’s foremost global organization addressing the interests of all those who plan, own, operate and maintain submarine cables. With more than 145 member organizations from over 60 countries, ICPC represents over 98% of the world’s submarine telecommunications cables and a growing number of submarine power cables.
ICPC’sannual Plenary is a distinguished gathering where the diverse membershipand invited guests exchange knowledge, views and expertise concerning submarine cable related technical, legal and environmental concerns. The 2015 Plenary theme is “Enhancing Submarine Cable Security and Co-operation in Balance with the Environment;” a focus that is pertinent to today’s industry climate. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China is invited to attend 2015 ICPC plenary, to share the thoughts and views on international communications and connections.
Recognizing ICPC as the industry benchmark for good practice, Huawei Marine joined the organization in 2012 with the desire to proactively contribute to the future of the submarine cable industry. During the plenary, Huawei Marine will present as co-host, and give a keynote presentation on “How Submarine Cable Protection Guards Economic Prosperity, Growth and Critical Infrastructure”, and will also be showcasing its latest technology for long-haul systems at its exhibition booth.
