In cooperation with the Loudoun County Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) WFN Strategies is sponsoring some 25 local children-in-need for a Christmas shopping spree with a partner police officer, including each child spending a day with an officer.

The Loudoun County, Loudoun-Dulles Lodge # 69, Fraternal Order of Police has been sponsoring the Cops and Kids program every year since the lodge was founded in 1998. Lodge members spend a day as Santa and take children on a shopping trip for items they not only want – but also need.

The FOP works with local schools to identify children whose families might not be able to afford holiday gifts. With support from local Loudoun-Dulles area residents the lodge is able to give a little something back to the community and make a real difference in the lives of area children this holiday season.

The Loudoun Dulles FOP Lodge #69 Cops and Kidsâ„¢ program is a big change from the problems most of the cops are used to dealing with as part of their jobs. It is an opportunity for quality one-on-ones with area children and put smiles on their faces.

“WFN Strategies is very pleased to be supporting the FOP this holiday season, and we do so because it is important to support children in our community, as well as our law enforcement people,” said Peg Nielsen, WFN Strategies Director of Finance.  “It is one small way we can give back in a very positive way.”

Last year, the FOP had roughly 75 kids participate in the program.
