Huawei Marine Networks Co., Ltd. (“Huawei Marine”) announced the successful bid for Libya LPTIC T-E submarine cable project, to provide end-end turnkey submarine system solutions. This project will connect Libya coastal cities of Tubrok and Emasaed, with a total length of about 177km and maximum design capacity 3.2Tbit / s. The completion of the system will not only integrate the whole country of Libya backbone network, providing a more extensive route protection; but also improve Libya's international communications bandwidth to meet the continuous increase of Libya's external communications demand. The project is expected to be delivered in the middle of 2010.LPTIC, the leading state-owned telecom carrier in Libya, runs its business including fixed, mobile and the Internet and so on.
