Namibian Maritime Affairs and the Ministry of Fisheries over the weekend indicated they have been closely monitoring the Chamarel vessel that caught fire late on Wednesday near Henties Bay and its surroundings for possible marine oil spillage.
It is feared any spillage from the ship that could be disastrous for Namibia's marine life.
