Since Taiwan's multiple undersea cable outages occurring from August 9 to 13, all international voice communications have resumed to normal levels after CHT's adopting urgent backup measures as well as coordinating with its overseas telecom partners to divert traffic. The failed circuits for enterprise communications have all been restored except links for two customers, which are now under arrangement with CHT's foreign partners to put alternative routes in place. All Internet traffic has returned to normal as usual.

Given the massive scale of this undersea cable cut incident, CHT is able to restore communications in a short period of time, thanks to its proper network management plus the assistance from its overseas partners to jointly set up backup routes.
