The coming of MainOne submarine fiber optic cable has crashed the price of Bandwidth in Nigeria by 50 percent according to AllAfrica.com. This has increased bandwidth capacity at affordable cost, Sales Manager of MainOne Cable Company Mrs. Bolanle Ogundogba said on Tuesday in Lagos. Â She said prior to MainOne commencement of commercial service in July 2010, the cost of bandwidth was between $1, 200 and $1, 700 per megabyte but that it has drastically reduced to the range of $500 to $700 at the moment.
