NTT Communications will team with Internet service provider Chuan Wei (Cambodia) to construct an optical submarine cable linking Cambodia and Japan. The cable, which is expected to be in service in 2015, is being installed in response to growing demand for information technology infrastructure in the Southeast Asian nation. The project will cost several billion yen, all of which will be covered by the Cambodian side.
