The testing of the Dhiraagu submarine cable installed between Sri Lanka and Maldives has begun after completion of the necessary repairs. The largest communication service provider in the Maldives suffered a serious blow after its submarine cable was damaged. The incident occurred on April 18 and had cut off internet connections from areas all over the Maldives while some other areas experienced extremely slow connection speeds.
