Two highly urbanized cities in Western Visayas were highly ranked recently as best 2010 Next Wave Cities for outsourcing in the Philippines in the Information Technology-Business Process Outsourcing (IT-BPO) industries according to the News Today. Behind the success of next wave cities is Globe Telecommunications ready and capable to provide a very strong nationwide domestic network such as data, voice and internet services. Globe has put recently into commission its second fiber optic backbone network that spans over 1,900 kilometers of inland and submarine cable, covering most areas of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
