FPT Telecom announced that the Asia America Gateway (AAG) submarine communication cable link connecting South-East Asia with the US was broken in the Vung Tau area on March 8 according to Saigon GP Daily.  FPT Telecom, a subsidiary of FPT Corporation, said the incident has affected all telecom providers in the area. Internet services such as emailing etc. have been disrupted. However, domestic transactions via internet were not affected.
