The International Cable Protection Committee (ICPC) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Keith Schofield as its new General Manager, following an extensive selection process.
The appointment arises from a decision by Graham Marle, the current ICPC General Manager, to move on from the role that he has diligently developed and excellently performed for more than 16 years, to focus upon his other business interests. Graham’s commitment to excellence and the support of the submarine cable industry has played a key role in the progress of the ICPC over those years, helping guide the ICPC through a period of marked change and growth, and his efforts are greatly appreciated. The ICPC wish Graham ongoing business success.
Keith comes to ICPC as a seasoned senior executive with over 32 years’ experience in the submarine cable industry, encompassing consultancy, investment, ownership and supplier activities, as well as more than 5 years in board level roles for non-profit organisations such as Charity Hope for Children (HOPE).
Keith will continue to move the ICPC forward and will help the Executive Committee with the ICPC’s vision, which is to be the international submarine cable authority providing leadership and guidance on issues related to submarine cable security and reliability. He will now transition into the position through until 1 July, whereupon Graham will formally cease his role.
Commenting upon the appointment, the Chair of ICPC, Neil Rondorf stated, “Keith’s appointment comes at an important juncture in the ICPC’s evolution as the representative voice of the submarine cable industry, while its activities and membership scope continues to grow”.
