GLOBACOM Limited plans to inaugurate a 9,500-kilometre submarine telecommunications cable to link Africa and Europe on Wednesday, its Group Chief Operating Officer, Mohammed Jameel, has said in The Guardian. Jameel announced this on Tuesday in , Abuja at a special preview of the project and its impacts on businesses in West Africa. He said the project, Glo 1 Submarine Cable, would deliver transmission capacity which would change Africa’s economic landscape by providing high speed , internet services.
