Alcatel-Lucent reported a EUR 402 million net loss on revenues down 6.9 percent to EUR 3.60 billion in the first quarter, that compares to a loss of EUR 181 million on EUR 3.86 billion in revenues in the year-earlier period. Revenues took the biggest hit in North America, where they fell to EUR 1.11 billion, down 16.9 percent year-on-year. European sales shrank by 2.5 percent to EUR 1.25 billion, Asia-Pacific sales came down 2.8 percent to EUR 649 million and rest of world turnover declined by 1.8 percent to EUR 588 million.
