The Lower Indian Ocean Network (LION2), Kenya's fourth submarine cable, will go live in April and provide unlimited high-speed bandwidth, Capital News reported online. Orange Kenya, which is involved in laying the cable through its parent company, France Telecom, said that the cable arrived in Mombasa in December 2011 and is currently awaiting connection.
