MTN Cameroon has transferred ownership of the WACS submarine fibre optic cable landing station at Limbe to the State of Cameroon.
The deed of transfer signed in Yaounde by Karl O. Toriola, Chief Executive Officer of MTN Cameroon on behalf of the MTN Group, and Jean-Pierre Biyiti Bi Essam, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, for the State of Cameroon, in the presence of several officials of the telecommunications sector, is the outcome of fruitful negotiations, since 2012.
