Rwandatel's 900 Km submarine cable is expected to land in Kigali by April according to an article on allAfrica.com.  The cable, originally slated to land in January, will be delivered by Green Future.  Once the cable is connected, Rwandatel's customers will receive high speed connectivity with bandwidth provided by SEACOM.  Rwandatel will not depend solely on that connection, however.  CTO Basilio Sadindi explained, “We need to have redundancy of connection by other cables from Arusha and DRC because you can't afford to be disconnected because a Fibre has got a deflate.”
