Pacific Lightnet, a local communications company announced today that it is changing its name to Wavecom Solutions.

“This is not just a name change,” said Jeremy Amen, Wavecom Solutions` CEO. “As we kick-off 2010 we are committed to providing high quality, flexible communication services to enterprises, and to local and international carriers. We want to work closely with our customers and provide them easily customizable managed solutions that address their unique business needs, and we want our brand to reflect this.”

Additionally, Wavecom Solutions would like to announce the hiring of Simon Fiddian as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Fiddian joined Wavecom Solutions in October 2009. He has deep experience not only in managed services, but also in traditional communication services, having previously served at Telstra, Infonet Services Corporation and BT.

“I am pleased to have joined such a strong group of customer-focused professionals, and I am excited to be a part of the team,” said Mr. Fiddian. “We are here to assist our customers in utilizing available technologies as an enabler to solve their business challenges.
