WFN Strategies is pleased to announce that William Blair has joined the company as Project Manager for Commercial and Oil & Gas Projects.

“Mr. Blair’s expertise in submarine and wireless communications and his formal project management experience will add a dynamic to the team we have been seeking for quite some time.” said James Case, Director of Projects for WFN Strategies. “I’m looking forward to working with him and know both our employees and customers will as well.”

Mr. Blair has over 20 years of experience in the construction and operation of communications networks at AT&T, Global Crossing, UUNET/MCI, TeliaSonera and Sprint/Nextel. His expertise includes undersea cables, Internet Service Providers and Federal secure video and data networks. He studied engineering and chemistry at Princeton University and George Mason University, earning a Bachelor of Science. He brings broad experience in network development, most recently serving as Program Manager for Sprint/Nextel and Netcom Networks, where he led the business development and technology strategy for the Product Management and Network Development teams. At Sprint, he developed and tested 4G network transport facilities, cell phones and mobile applications.

In his new role, Mr. Blair will be responsible for managing company projects for commercial and Oil & Gas clients, both in the USA and abroad. He will support clients to develop cost effective solutions for communications systems onshore and offshore using both fiber optic and wireless technologies.
