AllAfrica.com is reporting that the government of Kenya is accusing shareholders of the East Africa Marine System (TEAMs) of colluding to fix internet connectivity prices. Â Bitange Ndemo, Kenya's Information and Communication PS, said TEAMs shareholders are selling connectivity at about $4000 per Megabyte, a price comparable to the cost of satellite. Â TEAMs operators have defended these costs as a means of recouping their investment in the system.
