Service into Haiti via the Bahamas Domestic Submarine Network (BDSNi) was disrupted due to the massive earthquake that devastated Port-au-Prince on 12 January.  According to an article on TeleGeography, the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) is currently remotely assessing the extent of the damage.
