Telebras Agrees Asset Swap with EllaLink

By TelecompaperBrazilian telecom infrastructure provider Telebras announced an agreement to exchange its equity interest in the companies EllaLink and Cabos Brasil Europa for the right to use the submarine cable to be launched by Ellalink Ireland that will directly connect Brazil to Portugal. Payment and closing of the deal is expected to take place in the coming months, and the cable start-up is scheduled for 2020.
