Telefonica has completed the transfer of 24.8 percent of the shares of its infrastructure subsidiary Telxius to private equity firm KKR for EUR 790.5 million as part of a deal reached in February to sell up to 40 percent of Telxius to KKR for a total of EUR 1.275 billion after receiving regulatory approval. In a statement to markets watchdog CNMV, the company said it aims to complete the transfer of the remaining 15.2 percent stake, worth EUR 484.5 million, by the end of this year, with Telefonica retaining control over Telxius when the transaction completes.
