Telxius Opens New Network Operations Centre In Lima

Telefonica’s infrastructure subsidiary Telxius has inaugurated a new operations centre for its international submarine cable network in the district of Miraflores in Peru’s capital Lima. Described as one of the most advanced cable monitoring centres in the world, the plant will oversee the entire 87,000-kilometre undersea network managed by Telxius, including SAM-1, PCCS, Unisur, the recently-activated Marea cable as well as the Brusa (Brazil-Puerto Rico-US) cable due to enter into service this year.
