Three weeks after the return of all internet services in Angola, Angola Telecom and the SAT-3/-WASC submarine cable consortium announced a new breakdown in the submarine cable between Libreville (Gabon) and Cacuaco (Angola). The anomaly caused the interruption of the supply of internet and international voice services by Angola Telecom, reports Jornal de Angola.
The operator said they were working to restore services as quickly as possible, following the cable break on 09 March.
Gabon Telecom said its services also were interrupted as a result of the break, reports Ecofin. The company obtained alternative international capacity on a cable via Nigeria while repairs are underway.
