Sterling, Virginia – Registration will begin March 1, 2018 for the SubOptic 2019 Conference in New Orleans, LA (USA) on April 8-11, 2019. Attendees will also be able to reserve their hotel rooms at the New Orleans Marriott, New Orleans, LA on March 1, 2018. More than 1,000 industry professionals, exhibitors and speakers are expected at this premier event for the submarine fiber-optic industry, oil and gas suppliers and cable companies.
Ciena (USA) committed as the conference host in summer 2017 and to-date, eight sponsors have been secured. Sponsors include: Alcatel Submarine Networks (France), Huawei Marine Networks (China), MainOne (Nigeria), NEC Corporation (Japan), Submarine Telecoms Forum, Inc. (USA), TE SubCom (USA), WFN Strategies, LLC (USA), and Xtera (USA). Several sponsorship opportunities are still available and can be booked immediately to capitalize on all sponsor promotions.
As always, the Conference will host an extensive exhibit center featuring 65 of the industry’s leading companies in submarine cable systems, users and suppliers from the international telecommunications, non-governmental and Oil & Gas industries worldwide. New for 2019 is an extensive “Companion Program” that welcomes SubOptic 2019 Conference attendees, their significant others and children to New Orleans, Louisiana with special tours of the city and other activities. Selections for specific tours and activities can be made during the registration process.
Sessions for this triennial event are traditionally developed by the SubOptic Association’s Programme Committee. The 2019 Committee, just announced this November, is to be led by Dr. Stuart Barnes of Xtera (USA). Joining him are Marc-Richard Fortin of TE SubCom (USA) and Stephen Dawe of Vodafone (UK) as Co-Chairs for the SubOptic 2019 Papers Committee.
Master classes on Monday, April 8, 2019 are now included with the registration fees and will discuss current technical and business issues alongside the future’s disruptive trends impacting the submarine fiber industry.
