Super Sistem engages APTelecom for commercialization and implementation of the Barat Timur Indonesia (BTI) subsea cable system

Jakarta, 12^th February: Innovative Indonesian company, Super Sistem, today announced that it has engaged APTelecom LLC to engage prospective customers on its behalf to undertake pre-sales for the BTI submarine cable system. In parallel, APTelecom is also taking responsibility for the implementation and project management function for installation of the system.

The BTI domestic subsea fiber optic cable system will add critical broadband internet capacity in remote and underserved areas of Indonesia, and will link Batam, Jakarta, and Manado, with a total of seven landing stations, with a combined length of more than 4,700 kilometers.  The BTI cable will assist to drive economic growth and facilitate digital connectivity across the broader Indonesian archipelago, well beyond the nation’s capital, Jakarta.

Speaking today, Kelvan Firman, CEO Super Sistem said “We are pleased to have retained the services of APTelecom at this critical stage of BTI’s development.
