WFN Strategies Awarded Quintillion Contracts Supporting Arctic Submarine Cable Expansion in Alaska

ASHBURN, VIRGINIA — WFN Strategies announced today that it is being awarded contracts by Quintillion to provide Owner Shipboard Representative and Protected Species Observer services for both the Nome to Homer Express (NTHE) submarine cable system and the Hooper Bay submarine cable project in Alaska.
The awards reinforce the long-standing relationship between WFN Strategies and Quintillion, which dates back to 2017 and includes direct involvement in Arctic submarine cable design, marine survey, installation, and offshore operations. Both projects represent important expansions of communications infrastructure serving remote and underserved Alaskan communities and regions.
Under the contracts, WFN Strategies will provide integrated offshore support services including:
- Owner Shipboard Representatives
- Protected Species Observers
- Offshore coordination and reporting
- Environmental compliance oversight
- Real time installation support
- PM 2.0® offshore reporting and project controls
The work will support complex high-latitude marine operations across multiple vessel campaigns during the 2026 Arctic installation season.
