ICPC 2022 Call for Papers

November 26, 2021

After very careful thought and consideration over the past few months, it was decided on 3rd November 2021 during the virtually-held Executive Committee (EC) meeting that the forthcoming 2022 ICPC Plenary will take place in-person in Madrid, Spain at the NOVOTEL Madrid Center from 26th – 28th April 2022.

On behalf of the entire EC, Advisers and Secretariat, we are very pleased with the decision, and we look forward to seeing you again under one ceiling exchanging dialogue about the importance of submarine cable (both telecommunications and power) protection worldwide and the critical role of submarine cable infrastructure in our working and personal lives.

With plans to gather in-person, the ICPC is actively monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and will ensure appropriate safety protocols are in place for the Plenary meeting to keep all delegates safe in a welcoming environment.

The Secretariat’s work on this event has already been in progress, so we are also pleased to announce the issuance of the 2022 ICPC Call for Papers (attached) under the theme:

Installing, Operating and Maintaining Resilient Submarine Cable Infrastructure in a Rapidly Evolving Global Environment

The attached 2022 Call for Papers has been sent to several submarine cable contacts within the industry, but it is very important it reaches as many individuals as possible. Therefore, we are grateful for your kind assistance to forward the details to anyone in your organisation, country or region who may be interested in presenting a paper at the Plenary.

Please note the cut-off date for abstract submissions is Friday, 28th January 2022 and you can easily submit your abstract via this link.

Thank you very much and again, we look forward to seeing you in Madrid! Stay tuned for further details in early 2022 regarding event registration and hotel reservations.
