Tele-Post Greenland that a fault was discovered on 21 January on the submarine cable system, reducing internet speed in every town and village north of Maniitsoq and up to Kullorsuaq. In individual cases, voice telephony has been affected, too. The cause and location of the fault were not immediately known.

Tele Greenland said customers should expect brief loss of voice and internet service over the next day as engineers investigated the problem and re-routed communications.
