SubOptic 2019 Programme Committee Releases the ‘Call for Papers’

SubOptic Press ReleaseSterling, Virginia (April 30, 2018) – The SubOptic 2019 Programme Committee, a group of nine experienced members of the subsea community, has released the ‘Call for Papers’ online at www.suboptic2019.com/call-for-papers/.
The SubOptic conference has been held for more than three decades and remains an event organized “for the industry, by the industry.” The ‘Call for Papers’ is an invitation to all telecommunications professionals to submit their abstracts for the SubOptic 2019 conference, which will be held in New Orleans, LA (USA) on April 8-11, 2019.
The eight Paper Topic Areas are:
- Networks of the Future
- Wet Technology
- Dry Technology
- Marine Advancements
- Regulatory, Legal and Security
- Commercial and Funding
- Global Citizen
- Oil & Gas and Special Markets
Each specialized area is overseen by a Papers Vice Chair who has hand-picked a committee of industry experts to review submissions and make selections for oral and poster presentations at the event. The SubOptic 2019 theme is To the Beach and Beyond – Rethinking Global Networks representing the massive changes that have occurred in the subsea telecommunications industry even in the short space of time since SubOptic 2016. The eight topic areas will address this theme together with a special focus on diversity, globalization and demographics.
The ‘Call for Papers’ provides further details on each of the papers topic areas, introduces the Papers Committee Co-Chairs and Vice Chairs and gives full instructions on how to submit an abstract. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31 August 2018.
