NTT Launches New Data Center in Noida

NEW DELHI: NTT Ltd, a leading global IT infrastructure and services company, today announced the launch of its new data center in Noida. Spread across six acres, the data center will support a planned capacity of 52.8 MW. Globally, the Japanese firm has earmarked $11 billion investment in data centers for five years starting 2022. The company didn't reveal investment figures specifically for the Indian region.

“India is a priority region in our global strategic roadmap of consistent capacity expansion in existing and new data center markets. With this new site, we will deliver reliable infrastructure that can support the demands of our clients’ digital transformation ambitions around the globe,” said Doug Adams, CEO and President, NTT Global Data Centers and Submarine Cable.

With the launch of the data center in Noida, the company has expanded its India footprint to over 268MW with 18 data centers across the country – Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru. Together these facilities cover over 3.1 million sq ft across interconnected campuses where clients can plan their infrastructure for immediate requirements to scale to match future growth needs.

Shekhar Sharma, CEO and MD, NTT GDC India and NTT Com India Network Services said, Noida’s data center is the first one in India to incorporate seismic dampers ensuring uninterrupted operations even during significant seismic events. “Our data centers employ advanced liquid cooling technologies such as liquid immersion cooling and direct liquid cooling ensuring clients can deploy the latest AI and high performance computer platforms in its data centers.”
