According to BNAmericas, SCT, Mexico's communications and transport ministry, has launched a public consultation period on the planned auction of two strands of dark fiber.  The fiber is currently owned by state power company CFE.  The dark fiber routes are divided into three segments: Pacific (Baja, California to Oaxaca); Central (Chihuahua to Chiapas); and Gulf (following the east coast with multiple border points including a submarine landing point connecting to Florida).
