According to BNAmericas, SCT, Mexico's communications and transport ministry, has launched a public consultation period on the planned auction of two strands of dark fiber. Â The fiber is currently owned by state power company CFE. Â The dark fiber routes are divided into three segments: Pacific (Baja, California to Oaxaca); Central (Chihuahua to Chiapas); and Gulf (following the east coast with multiple border points including a submarine landing point connecting to Florida).
