Gulf Bridge International (GBI), a company formed within the Gulf region specifically to meet the region's need for international communications infrastructure, is creating a new undersea cable network connecting all of the Gulf States to one another, and to the rest of the world, East and West.

Gulf Bridge has contracted The David Ross Group Inc (DRG) to serve as overall Program Manager for the effort. DRG, a global leader in the development of undersea fiber networks, will lead the GBI development team in the realization of their ambitious plan.

As part of the overall program management, DRG will provide GBI with specialists in the various technical and commercial aspects of system design, procurement, implementation, operation, and maintenance of their network.

Ahmed Mekky, CEO of Gulf Bridge, explained the choice this way – “To succeed in a venture such as this requires that the development team have a broad range of specialized skills, and the practical experience to efficiently manage through the myriad issues that will arise. DRG brings all of this to the GBI Team.”

David Ross, President of DRG, added “We are honored to be a part of such an important project in one of the world's fastest-growing telecom markets and working within the GBI team to realize their vision for the region.”
